Announcing the 2025 Regroup Readiness Award Winners

Announcing the 2025 Regroup Readiness Award Winners

Every day, our team at Regroup works with emergency preparedness and safety professionals to help keep their organizations safe and informed. We’re privileged to partner with clients to solve internal communications challenges, improve safety, increase awareness, and promote collaboration that helps organizations of all sizes and across various industries serve their people better. We also occasionally get to hear heroic stories of lives being saved, communities recovering from disasters, and organizations demonstrating resilience in the face of extreme circumstances.

We want to share these stories with the world — the extraordinary wins, and the arguably ordinary ones alike. This is why, in 2025, Regroup relaunched the Regroup Readiness Awards, a program to honor organizations that go above and beyond in using Regroup’s mass notification platform to keep their people connected, safe, and informed.

After weeks of nominations and consideration by our awards panel, the 2025 Regroup Readiness Award winners have been selected, and we’re thrilled to share them with you!

This year, we’re recognizing outstanding organizations in five categories:

  • Business
  • Education
  • Government
  • Healthcare
  • Nonprofit

These awards celebrate teams that exemplify readiness, resilience, and innovation in communication. Each winner will receive a $1,000 prize, a beautifully crafted trophy, recognition across Regroup channels, and a dedicated case study showcasing their impact and success using Regroup.

Without further ado, our winners are announced below along with a summary of their achievements with Regroup. Stay tuned for our upcoming featured client announcements and get inspired by the incredible stories behind these organizations, coming soon.

Regroup Readiness Award Winners

Business – The Well (Toronto)

The Well is one of Canada’s most ambitious mixed-use developments, spanning 3 million square feet in downtown Toronto. With office, residential, retail, and food market spaces integrated into one community, communication is critical for safety and operational efficiency.

The Well earned the Regroup Readiness Award for Excellence in Communication & Crisis Management by implementing Regroup as its backbone for emergency alerts and routine updates. The community’s ability to segment messages by tenant type and location, combined with proactive collaboration with Regroup to resolve their specific challenges, demonstrates best-in-class readiness.

“Regroup has helped us build a reliable, scalable, and intuitive system that meets the demands of a modern, urban community,” said Manjot Kaur, Security Coordinator.

Education – Navarro College

Navarro College serves multiple Texas campuses and programs, including Police Academy, Fire, EMS, and Adult Education. The college was selected for the Regroup Readiness Award for its exceptional use of Regroup’s Watchdog Alert system during severe weather, security threats, and drills.

In 2024–2025 alone, Navarro sent over 500,000 messages, ensuring zero injuries during tornadoes and active shooter threats. Their team’s leadership in preparedness, inclusivity, and outreach—such as hosting workshops for other colleges—sets a benchmark for educational institutions.

“Regroup has empowered us to protect lives, streamline operations, and lead by example,” said Jill McHargue, Application Support Specialist.

Government – Rankin County Emergency Operations

Rankin County Emergency Operations stands out for its precision and speed in crisis communication. Using Regroup, the community emergency response team delivers hyper-targeted alerts during severe weather and coordinates seamlessly across fire, law enforcement, schools, and public works. Their ability to reduce confusion and build trust during emergencies earned them the Regroup Readiness Award for government agencies.

“Regroup has become more than just a notification system; it’s a vital part of how we carry out our mission to protect lives,” said Brian Grantham, Director.

Healthcare – Twin Lakes Community

Twin Lakes Community, a senior living organization, leverages Regroup to keep residents and staff safe through multi-channel alerts and innovative integrations. Their team’s standout achievement is linking Regroup with emergency pull cords and creating a daily wellness check-in system for residents. These enhancements, along with their swift transition from a failing legacy system, earned them the Regroup Readiness Award for healthcare.

“Regroup has become a vital part of our communication infrastructure, ensuring safety and responsiveness,” said Patrick Harrison, Independent Living Administrator.

Nonprofit – Coastal Horizons Center, Inc.

Coastal Horizons serves communities across 48 locations in North Carolina, providing behavioral health and crisis response services. The organization was honored for transforming Regroup from an underutilized tool into a trusted lifeline through a strategic relaunch and staff engagement campaign. Their team’s success was proven during a major hurricane, when Regroup enabled clear, timely communication across multiple counties.

“Regroup has become more than a notification platform; it’s a bridge that connects every one of us,” said Ryan Twiford, IT Application Specialist.

Congratulations and Conclusion

As we close out the 2025 Regroup Readiness Awards, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to every organization that took the time to submit a nomination. The volume and quality of submissions made it incredibly difficult to select just one winner per category — a challenge we were genuinely grateful to have. Every nomination told a powerful story of preparedness, innovation, and commitment to protecting people when it matters most.

What stood out above all is how inspiring it is to see so many organizations using Regroup in thoughtful, creative, and impactful ways every single day. From large, complex communities to small, mission-driven teams, you are leveraging communication to save time, reduce confusion, strengthen trust, and ultimately keep people safe and informed. These efforts don’t always make headlines, but they make a real difference.

To all of our nominees and winners: thank you for your partnership, your leadership, and your dedication to readiness. We’re honored to support the incredible work you do and excited to continue learning from you as we build a safer, more connected future together.
