Regroup Mass Notification Wins Secure Campus 2019 Awards

Regroup Mass Notification, the industry-leading provider of emergency and day-to-day mass notification solutions, today announced that it has been named a winner of the Secure Campus Awards, which honors organizations demonstrating outstanding achievements in improving campus security.

Regroup was named a winner in the category of Security & Personal Safety Smartphone Applications thanks to its innovative suite of mobile applications, AlertMe and AlertManager. The ease of use, and unique features made possible by their applications won over the judges.

The effectiveness of AlertMe and AlertManager were on display following two incidents that required fast reaction times by authorities charged with keeping students, staff and faculty safe from harm. In Florida, school administrators were able to carry out a full campus lockdown following a threat of violence while away from traditional desktop computers. In a separate incident in Vancouver, during a case of extreme weather, a campus executed a shut-down during dangerous snow storms.

“We are honored to be recognized for keeping students, faculty and staff members safe on their campuses, whether it’s from man-made threats or natural events. Campus safety is a critical issue we take seriously at Regroup. This award inspires our team to continue to develop the most trusted platform for mass notification,” said Chris Utah, Chief Operating Officer of Regroup.

An independent panel of judges from the security industry selected the top entries in the 2019 categories and named them winners using criteria including features, innovation, user friendliness, interoperability, quality, design, market opportunity and impact in the security industry, technical advances, and scalability.
