OSHA Workforce Vaccine Mandates Have Been Announced

On November 4, 2021, the White House announced that employers with over 100 employees will have until January 4, 2022 to comply with COVID-19 vaccine mandates or risk thousands of dollars in fines. These new regulations — to be directed by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) — are estimated to affect 84 million United States employees.

Employers with more than 100 employees must ensure that all workers are either fully vaccinated or subject to weekly testing for COVID-19 and mask wearing.

OSHA has committed to assisting employers in developing vaccine and testing standards.

Non compliance with the new regulations can cost employers as much as $14,000 per violation.
