Regroup Amongst Few Shortlisted by FEMA as IPAWS compliant CAP Alert Origination Software

August 8, 2016Emi Gonzalez

The industry leading provider of emergency and day-to-day communication is proud to announce that it has been included in the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s official list of software that successfully demonstrated Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Capabilities.

After being verified in the IPAWS Open Platform for Emergency Networks (IPAWS-OPEN) test environment, Regroup was able to successfully demonstrate the necessary capabilities to integrate with IPAWS. To demonstrate full compatibility with IPAWS, the company was evaluated on its unique features — some of which included:

  • Easy, one-click messaging to multiple communication channels: email, cell phones (SMPP/voice), landlines, TTS, social media and more
  • Easy-to-use IPAWS Interface eliminates the guesswork out of the alerting process
  • CAP 1.2 and Section 508 Compliance
  • Geo-targeting capabilities to allow users to draw a multi-point polygon shape on a map to easily deliver targeted IPAWS alerts to specific areas
  • 24/7 Certified Emergency Support Team
  • And more

“We at Regroup do our best to be at the forefront of mass communication by meeting the highest standards and facilitating advanced technology to our clients. Having been listed by the FEMA as an official IPAWS compliant is proof of our continued commitment to be industry leaders. We will continue to improve by collaborating with the Department of Homeland Security and FEMA,” said Joe DiPasquale, CEO of Regroup.

Federal, State, Territorial, tribal and local alerting authorities can now leverage Regroup to alert and/or warn the public about serious emergencies using the Emergency Alert System (EAS), Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather Radio and other public alerting systems from a single interface.
