Market Research & Competitive Intelligence Specialist

We are looking for a Market Research & Competitive Intelligence Specialist to generate market, customer, and competitor insights across the Mass Messaging, Critical Event Management, and Emergency Mass Notification System spaces. Coverage will be across English-first geographies, with a specific focus on the United States. 

What do you want to do? (aka key responsibilities)

  • Study Regroup’s product(s), customer personas, competition, and industry landscape to understand market dynamics and trends
  • Develop ongoing competitive and market assessments to help with effective market positioning and differentiation
  • Monitor competitive activity to proactively identify changes in their value proposition 
  • Actively engage with the Sales, Product, and Customer Success Teams to implement real-time feedback into the research process 
  • Identify competitive topical trends and industry news to inform marketing efforts across channels, including web, digital, social media, presentations, public relations, and others
  • Create and manage internal newsletters to ensure key stakeholders are made aware of industry-related news along with relevant competitive actions and alerts
  • Manage intelligence & competitor benchmarking studies and develop reports on market conditions, potential, opportunities, trends, and actionable recommendations

 

Other duties as assigned

  • Experience marketing or selling technology within the B2B space required
  • SaaS experience is a plus
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager or with a top-tier market research firm, business/strategy consulting firm or insights role
  • Experience in market analysis and competitive intelligence a must
  • Highly analytical; demonstrated research and insight-generation capabilities with stakeholder-oriented mindset
  • Strong and disciplined project management and process improvement capabilities
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal), ability to communicate and present effectively to a wide variety of audiences with impact
